Our Successes

Though Democrats lost the general election badly in 2016, Harris County was a beacon in the darkness of the Republican landslide.  Hillary Clinton won Harris County by 160,000 votes, the largest Democratic victory since Texas turned red.

ROADwomen is proud of the part we played in turning all of Harris County blue.  Working on coordinated campaign with other Democratic groups, we targeted suburban Democratic women which was a crucial piece of turning Harris County blue.

Additionally, ROADwomen raised funds to participate in the seniors mail ballot program, which was aimed to increase voter participation among senior citizens. And for the first time in in Harris County history, Democrats outvoted Republicans in the senior mail ballot program.
