Blue Ribbon Lobby Day is taking place on  Monday, April 10, 2017.

It is the only legislative event hosted for Democratic and progressive women in Texas, when we all come together in Austin to lobby for issues important to progressive women. TDWHarris is sponsoring a bus from Houston to Austin, and back, to make it easier for women in the Harris County Metro Area to get to and from the Capitol. Below is all the information you'll need if you're interested in participating in the lobby training and activities, and to make sure there is time scheduled for you to speak to your state senator and representative about what matters to you as a progressive woman in Texas. A strong showing of Texans, proudly wearing blue, will focus attention on key women's issues.
 

You must register with Texas Democratic Women/the Texas Democratic Party, and pay the registration fee. 

• The registration fee is $25.00. The fee covers lunch, lobby training, materials, and more.
• Pay the registration fee via the following ActBlue link: https://secure.actblue.com/contribute/page/blueribbon2017
• Make sure you send an e-mail to blueribbonlobbyday@gmail.com letting them know you will be attending and provide the names of your state senator and representative so that TDW can ensure you will be able to visit the elected officials who represent you. (Please note registrants who do not send an e-mail with the names of their state senator and representative will be assigned to other senators/representatives.
• There are scholarships available for those who cannot afford the registration fee. More information can be obtained via the ActBlue link above.

Catch a ride to and from the Capitol with TDWHarris on our chartered bus.

• round-trip seat on the TDWHarris bus costs $40.00.
• The bus will leave Houston at 6 AM on April 10, 2017 from Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 7901 Westview, Houston, TX 77055. The return trip will leave Austin at5 PM.
